Sharlene had to get fifteen stitches in her face. There, the hospital staff began calling her the “Miracle Child,” making it clear just how close Sharlene came to losing her life on that road.
After this happens she had decided that there dream not come true.But Sharlene didn’t give up. Seven years after the crash, she found the courage to enter the Miss Universe Jamaica pageant. Now, as the newly crowned Miss Universe Jamaica, she has big plans for the future.
Sharlene says the car crash taught her what to value in life. “Timing is key and the accident made me realize how important family is,” she told the Gleaner. “Today, I treasure my family; they are my everything.”
